You need to make it easy for your customer to call you as fast as possible. Do this by making the phone number on your website one that you click to call, without any hassle.

Not all plumbers do the same thing. Nor do electricians. If you are specific with the services you provide, then your customer will know exactly what you do, and will call you for those services. Also, each of your services should be on a different page, so that it improves your SEO.

  1. List what area you work in

When looking for a tradie, you usually need them in a hurry, and one that is nearby. List the major suburbs that you work in. This cuts down on getting calls from people that are too far away from you to service, and cuts down on travel time between appointments.

  1. Google Analytics installed to see where your existing customers are coming from

How do you know if your website is doing anything? How do you know where you customers are coming from? And how long they are staying on you site, and what they are looking at?

Google analytics is an amazing free tool that can be installed to measure the performance of your website.

Use it to measure, to find out, to discover, to understand where your customers are coming to your website from, because the things we measure are the things we improve.

Your website is no different. Things are always changing, and if you aren’t tracking them, how will you know if you are going off track.

People like to work with people they know and trust. Start building the relationship by telling them who you are

  1. Call to action

What do you want your customers to do, do you want them to call you , send you an email, or make an appointment? This needs to be really obvious and easy for someone to do, as easy as a click of a button.

  1. Lead magnet

It is in an exchange of information that has value to someone, It can be a checklist or something similar, in exchange for an email address. It is the start of building trust between potential customers by giving them something of value, to build up an emailing list, so that you can further build a relationship by giving valuable information, insights, and  in future emails. This starts off your emailing database so that you can do direct emailing marketing to people who have decided that they would like to know more about what you have to offer them.

  1. A Blog or video blog tell your stories

Have a blog or video blog and tell your stories, of successes, tips and projects you have done. Send these blog posts ( and video link for video from youtube) directly by email the addresses you have built up from your lead magnet. Publish relevant content, and do it often

  1. Social icons

Put these on your blog posts, as well as on all your pages. It is good to share who you are and what you do on social media.

  1. Google local business page

Set up a Google local business page. It helps with getting greater visibility, as well as SEO
